About the city
Thanks to silver mining, Kutná Hora used to be one of the most important Bohemian royal towns in the Middle Ages. The historical town center with the Catedral of St. Barbara and the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary at Sedlec are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Cathedral of St. Barbara
The monumental cathedral in Kutná Hora is a great example of late gothic architecture. The church is dedicated to St. Barbora - patron saint of miners who contributed to its creation.
The Sedlec Ossuary
A chapel decorated with human bones (hence also known as the Bone Church) is a place that is morbid and fascinating at the same time. See the chandelier made of bones and skulls!
