Selected sights

Kutná Hora (UNESCO)

Thanks to silver mining, it used to be one of the most important Bohemian royal towns in the Middle Ages. Visit the Cathedral of St. Barbara - a great example of late gothic architecture and, of course, the Sedlec Ossuary - a place which is morbid and fascinating at the same time.

Český Šternberk Castle

Originally gothic, later rebuilt in baroque style, the castle located above the Sázava river is still owned by the founding family.

Telč is one of the Czech fairy-tale towns, the old town is located on a "peninsula" surrounded by fish ponds. A must-see is the square filled with colorful houses - a great example of the Italian Renaissance. Don't miss the chateau too.
